Houses from scraps quilt

Tsja, eigenlijk heb ik vanaf het begin de huisjes quilts erg bewonderd maar niet echt zin om er zelf mee aan de gang te gaan.
De Variahex quilt was juist helemaal klaar en welke grote quilt ik nu wilde maken wist ik nog niet, dus.....
Dus toch maar wat huisjes gefreubeld. En nog een paar.
Maar toch kon het me niet echt boeien. Sorry Janneke.
Maar inmiddels weet in wel een quilt of twee die ik zou willen starten. En UFO's? nou nee, dat is niet echt mijn ding.
Manlief moest zo verschrikkelijk lachen toen ik hem vertelde wat UFO in de quiltwereld betekent. En toen ik hem het woord Affo uitlegde kwam hij eerst maar eens koffie bij me drinken en liet de keuken spontaan voor wat het was.
Maar goed, er moet toch wat met die paar huisjes gebeuren.
In een eerder blogje liet ik al de 'snelle' blokken die ik erbij gemaakt had zien.
En nu heb ik besloten het kleed maar iets kleiner te maken en met een grote rand, wordt het toch nog wat.
Hier alvast het middenblok van mijn toekomstige tuintafelkleedje.

I started with these houses because I just finished my Variahex quilt and didn't know what other big quilt I wanted to start with at the time. So I made a few houses, and a few more.... but still I wasn't very fond of it, sorry Janneke.
But now a have an idea or two for a nice big quilt and as I don't like UFO's I had to do something with these little houses.
My DH laughed when he heard about the meaning of the word 'UFO' in our quiltingworld. (sounds spooky if you think about UFO and quiltingworld)
In Holland we have another word, when the UFO is finished we call it Affo. Af means finished. He couldn't stop laughing hearing me explain so he decided to first drink a cup of coffee with me and leave the kitchen for the kitchen :-)
This is the centre piece of my houses-quilt and with blocks from this blogpost I think my garden tablecloth will be a pretty, though smaller, one when finished.
