Breien. Knitting.

Geverfd door vriendin J-A.

In an earlier blogpost, this summer, I wrote about wool given to me by my friend J-A a long time ago. She dyed it too. Last summer I washed the already spun wool and lately I started knitting. I bought a lovely pattern at Ravelry, and of I go, a vest.

My spinning project is on hold for now. Because the spinning doesn't hurt my hands as much anymore I wanted to spin for the 'longest thread competition'. I thought I couldn't join the competition this year but as it turnes out, I can. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be though. But I enter my yarn anyway and next year I'll try again.
Gezellig hoor.

And today? This morning I will be weaving and this afternoon we have our little quilt bee. Gezellig (means something like having fun in this context).

And this picture I took in our garden today. So beautiful, a gift don't you think? And it is the 25th of September!

I love the color of your vest! I was just thinking that knitting a vest sounds like fun as it's that time of year to think about sweaters :-) So the longest thread contest-it has to be one continuous thread? Did you measure yours? It will be interesting to hear how long the longest one is. Don't you just love seeing a rose bloom?
Enjoy your spinning/knitting,
Judy
