Quilten.

Best spannend hoor.

First about the weaving project I can't show you. The weaving part is finished, J.
Now I 'only' have to finish it and then...... I can bring it to the person who commissioned it. A little exiting it is.

With friend M. I went to the quilt exhibition in Alkmaar. So many beautiful quilts. I loved the art quilts, especially the one with the peacocks. The more traditional quilts were wonderful too. The 'building houses from scraps quilt (with trees), the pine apple, the white one with so many little stitches in a dark colour, you can hardly believe what you see.
Of course the shops were a treat. I bought two half meters of lovely fabric, a Marti Michell template set and an inch ruler.

Then M. and I had a cup of coffe and a laugh.
We met a lady who showed us six half meters of lovely fabric. Here friends couldn't stop laughing when I asked what she was going to make with these lovely purple fabrics. "a Christmas ornament", she said. ( the size of a tennis ball).........
When we all finished laughing she grinned; must be a Christmas tree I think".
A lovely afternoon you can imagine.

En vandaag? Vandaag ga ik naar een weefvriendin.
And today? Today I'll visit a weaving friend.

That sounds like a wonderful time, visiting with friends, doing some fabric shopping, and seeing a quilt display!

It sounds inspirational and so much fun Marion. I caught myself buying a whole fatquarter the other day when a much smaller piece would have been enough!! Have fun with your secret project!!
