Voddenkleed Rag rug.

At  my weaving class this spring, I tied on a warp and wanted to do that at home again. So a made a new warp, for two rugs this time, tied in on, perfect. First I worked hard to design a new design. I wanted to weave rosengang (don't know the Englisch word right now) so I had to think hard what I learned about drawing a draft at my weaving class. But it all worked out oke.
But.... when I tie on a warp, I'll be weaving the same draft as the warp before........ all that theory and hard work for nothing. Well, not for nothing, I had to study hard again to understand the draft theory, imagine I did this months later, I'm afraid I woudn't have remenbered anything anymore :-)
My first rag rug is comming along fine.

I like the colors of the rug! It looks like you have four shafts and you are weaving tabby (plain weave) from the photo. You could probably easily change the binding just by adding more treadles and changing the tie-up. Panama, twill and combinaions of those with tabby would be possible, I think.

Looking forward to see *all* of the rug. It's really pretty so far.
