Mijn kamer en resultaat dun spinnen. My room and result spinning fine yarn.

This week I have three workshops to teach and then, Saturday my studio will be turned upside down.
I still like the floor covering but it's damaged quit a bit, I 'd like to have those white Ikea Billy bookcases and new wallpaper in a nice colour, the ceiling needs to be painted......
So a lot of work needs to be done :-) At the video the 'old' room.

De workshop 'dun spinnen' heb ik afgerond. Het was echt leuk om te doen.

I've finished the workshop 'spinning fine'. I liked working on such a project. I liked it a lot.

From top down; thick spinning at the beginning of the workshop.
thick spinning at the end of the workshop.
thin spinning at the beginning of the workshop.
and after weeks of practice, I think I spin a little thinner than at the start :-)

Heerlijk toch.

And now? Now I'll look for a nice little saucer for cookies because this morning someone is coming over to learn to spin. Love it.

I almost forgot, my 'art' in the window.

Groet, Willemien.

It's neat seeing the videos!! Thanks for doing that. Is that a pink log cabin quilt on the wall? Nice workspace, so organized. Do you find when you spin thinner that the yarn gets a big harder or how do you compensate for that? That's something that I struggle with as I get the yarn thinner, it seems to get a harsher feel to it.
Best wishes on your classes! Wish I could be there too....

What beautiful yarn! Not just fine, but so even. And I love the window display too.

Hello Marion. I have seen your entry on the ONline guild website and want to say Hello. I am new like you and seem to have a lot in common although you are more experienced than me and your studio is much tidier than mine. I also read a little dutch and so it is interesting to see what you write and then the translations

Happy weaving
